We went just for a chilled drinky one evening, at about half 8. Missed the sodding happy hour but there is a wealth of delicious cocktails on offer, and I was only going for one drink, so didn't paying a lot for something special. There was almost too much choice on the menu, and I was bamboozled. I finally settled on something other than my standard gin and tonic or margarita.
I went for something jazzy.
I went for... the Ram Berry Jam (£9).
Vodka based, with a homemade raspberry jam liqeur and topped with fizz, it tasted like a Kir Royale, and it was scrummy. Quite sweet - I wouldn't want two of them but it felt very sophisticated and it was scrummy. However, the (literal) crowning glory was that my champagne flute was topped with a jammy dodger. That's right, the biscuit. I mean, hells yes. Most people want a small bowl of olives or some peanuts alongside their alcoholic beverage, but not me. No no. I wanted a biscuit.
