We both went for a small thali plate which was about £7. It was a perfect option because you get a bit of everything. One bowl of rice (I went for vegetable rice), a bowl of beans or daal (I opted for beans), a bowl of curry of your choice (for the very first time, I tried paneer in a very hot paneer curry), a choice of a poppadom or roll (obviously poppadom) and salad. Sensational selection of curried bits and bobs.
The trickiest thing for me about this dish was how to eat it! My mum went for just forking things out of the bowl, but I got more involved - tipping the bowls onto the big serving dish and scooping with my poppadom and fork. I like a better mix of flavours all combining together, rather than just individual ones.
